How Do I Order?
Postage and Packing
For deliveries within the UK we generally use Lynx. The charge obviously depends on the size and weight of the order and covers all packing, postal and handling charges. For larger or urgent orders we can ship directly from our suppliers, using Fedex.
What graphics formats do you accept?
We can work with most standard formats- JPG, PDF, EPS, AI, PSD etc. We can sometimes accommodate other formats such as cdr and pcx, check with us. If you have a web page with your logo on it, we can sometimes take the image from that. All quotes are dependent on the provision of graphics in a suitable format. For Pantone matching, we can try and extract the number from your artwork, but for accurate matching, please supply the Pantone number.
Delivery Times
Lead times differ for our different products, due to their customised nature. For printed and woven lanyards, we require 2-3 weeks. If your order is required urgently, let us know, as we can sometimes push an order through. If you have a urgent requirement, please let us know, as we may be able to speed up the production of your order, especially if your lanyard is a stock colour (eg white, black, blue, red etc). Our minimum turnaround time is around 7 days. Please contact us to check whether we can meet your deadline!
Fonts
Please let us know if your design contains a non-standard font. Please note Ribbonworks will not supply fonts - if your design contains a non-standard font, please send us the font, attached to an email. Fonts can normally be found in the C:\windows\fonts folder.
If you are looking for something a bit different, we can recommend these sites: fawnt.com and Urban Fonts. Both these sites offer some interesting free fonts- just tell us the name of the font you like, and let us know what text you want, and we can do the rest!
Graphics
All orders will only be processed when a suitable graphic has been received. For us to provide an accurate quote, a copy of the image or graphic that you wish to use has to be provided in a suitable format. The easiest way to get an image to us is to attach in to an email to Ribbonworks. We prefer standard formats- gif,jgp,pdf. We can sometimes accommodate other formats such as cdr and pcx, check with us. If you have a web page with your logo on it, we can normally take the image from that. All quotes are dependent on the provision of graphics in a suitable format. If you require graphic design work, we can supply this at a cost of £20 per hour. Let us know if you require this service.
Quotes
To help us give you the most accurate quote, the more information we receive on your enquiry the better. Please try and supply as much of the following as possible: Product - e.g. lanyards, wristbands, labels Type - printed or woven (we can advise on this) Quantity - unit numbers, or length. Colour - we can match Pantone numbers if you have them Graphics - A copy of your required image (preferably jpeg) Any other information on your requirement is helpful and welcome! Whereas every attempt will be made to provide accurate quotes based on information given, if changes or additions are requested by the customer after the initial quote, the price may be adjusted to reflect this.
Payment
Our preferred methods of payment are cheques or credit cards, of which we accept all major types. If a purchase order is required, we need to receive the purchase order by fax or post. We can also accept payment by direct bank transfer, please contact us for our bank details.
