What will I pay for delivery?

For deliveries within the UK we generally use a courier service for next day delivery. The minimum charge is £8 (up to about 15kg).

This charge obviously depends on the size and weight of the order and covers all packing, postal and handling charges. For larger or urgent orders we can ship directly from our suppliers.

For small stock orders, you can request a Royal Mail First Class delivery. Please note we cannot track this.

What graphics formats do you accept?

All orders will only be processed when a suitable graphic has been received. For us to provide an accurate quote, a copy of the image or graphic that you wish to use has to be provided in a suitable format.

We can work with most standard formats- JPG, PDF, EPS, AI, PSD etc.

If you have a web page with your logo on it, we can sometimes take the image from that. All quotes are dependent on the provision of graphics in a suitable format.

What are your lead times?

Lead times differ for our different products, due to their customised nature. The specific lead time is noted on the product page for each product. If your order is required urgently, let us know, as we can sometimes push an order through.

If you have a urgent requirement, please let us know, as we may be able to speed up the production of your order, especially if your order is a standard colour rather than PANTONE®.

What fonts can I use?

Ribbonworks cannot supply non standard fonts - if your design contains a non-standard font, please send us the font.

For Windows users, fonts are normally located in the folder C:\windows\fonts, MacOS users can normally find them in the Fonts App.

If you are looking for something a bit different, we can recommend these sites: fawnt.com and Urban Fonts. Both these sites offer some interesting free fonts- just tell us the name of the font you like, and let us know what text you want, and we can do the rest!

How do I get an full quote?

To help us give you the most accurate quote, the more information we receive on your enquiry the better. Please try and supply as much of the following as possible:
  • Product - Which product from our range are you interested in.
  • Type - For example printed or woven lanyards? We are happy to advise on the best solution for your requirements
  • Quantity & sizes as appropriate
  • Colour - If you require PANTONE® matching please provide a PANTONE® reference.
  • Graphics & Customisation - Your logo or design in an appropraite format and any customisation requirements.
  • Any deadline you may have.

Any other information on your requirement is helpful and welcome!

Whereas every attempt will be made to provide accurate quotes based on information given, if changes or additions are requested by the customer after the initial quote, the price may be adjusted to reflect this.

How can I pay?

Our preferred methods of payment are cheques or debit/credit cards, of which we accept all major types.

Please note that for security reasons we cannot process payments over the phone but instead use a secure online link.

If a purchase order is required, we need to receive a copy of the purchase order.

We can also accept payment by direct bank transfer, please let us know at the time of ordering and our bank details will be provided on your pro-forma invoice.

How do I order?

How accurate is Pantone Matching?

We can try and extract the PANTONE® number from your artwork, but for accurate matching, please supply the PANTONE® number.

Please note the industry standard for PANTONE® matching material is +/- 10%, which means we we very occasionally see a slight variation, especially if a small quantity of PANTONE® matched lanyards is required.

I've got an urgent order. Can you help?

Get in touch with your order requirements as we can OFTEN turn an order around in less than our standard lead time - we don't charge any more for an urgent order either!

You can help us process your urgent order by:
  • Having your artwork ready in a suitable format - poor quality images slows things down.
  • Choose a standard colour rather than PANTONE® matching which takes more time.
  • Ensure you have supplied complete and correct delivery details.
  • Approve your proof and pay your pro-forma invoice promptly

We will never take on an order where we do not think the deadline is achievable however please be aware that for very tight deadlines, external factors outwith our control, such as adverse weather, may cause delays in delivery.

We also hold an extensive supply of plain and pre-printed lanyards in stock for same day dispatch and express delivery.
