Significant Drop in Ad Revenue

The owner of the Daily Mail has announced a significant drop in ad revenue over recent weeks, saying that they will have to cut costs by £50 million this year to effectively deal with this decline.

In a trading update, DMGT reported that ad revenue at publishing division DMG Media had dropped by 10% in the third quarter of 2016. This compared to ad revenue being down 4% for the year to date, as well as a 12% drop in print advertising.
